Featured Friday Week #2: SAE author's Liv Morris, Danielle Torella, and Beth Michele

Pretty in Pink as an official blogger for the Stamford Author Event, is excited to bring you three of the great authors who will be participating in the SAE on August 10, 2013!   This week joining us I have Liv Morris, Danielle Torella, and Beth Michele!

First up, we have the fabulous Danielle Torella!

Bio

Danielle lives in Western New York with her husband and two sons.  Never knew she had a dream to become a writer until she started becoming obsessed with reading in the past two years.  The obsession began with Twilight and then matured to Fifty Shades.  While used to reading mainstream bestsellers, found a new love for indie authors.  She loves to do paintings related to the books she reads and eventually turning into Pushy Girl Paintings and now does work for other indie writers and readers.  Her first book idea started from a dream she had one night and became obsessed with the story and started writing.  Now having arguments with the people in her head and loving every moment of it, even when they take control of the story.  She is the author of Private Message.

Danielle also put together the trailer for the SAE!

Next up this week is the lovely Liv Morris, short story author, who has her debut novel coming out in July 2013.

Bio

At the age of fourteen, Liv Morris opened up the classic book, Jane Eyre. The characters and love
story written by Charlotte Brontë flipped a switch inside of her and a life-long lover of reading was
born.
Liv resides in Manhattan with her husband of twenty-eight years. They have three grown daughters
who are scattered across the United States. She was raised in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of
southern Missouri and received a communications degree from the University of Maryland.
Her first short story, Magic at Macy’s, was published in 2012 and reached #583 overall in the paid
Kindle store in Amazon. She decided to continue writing more short stories in a series titled, Love in
the City. Her next two installments in the series, Perfect Strangers and The Panty Dropper, both
ranked as best sellers. The Panty Dropper reached #283 over all in the paid Kindle store as well as
#65 on the best selling list in Contemporary Romance.
Her latest installment in the series, The Love Handles Club, was published on April 23, 2013 and
already ranks as a short story best seller. The final installment in the series, Drunk & Disorderly, will
hit the presses in June 2013. A Love in the City compilation book of the series is set for publication
in early July 2013.
Currently, Liv is working on her debut novel Adam’s Apple with a July 2013 date set for
publication.

Excerpt from Adam's Apple

Prologue

March 23rd, 2005. Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.

The sky shines a bright blue but my heart is gray and turning as black as the dirt I'm holding in my hands. I squeeze my fingers so tightly they shake and bits of grit embed themselves in my palms.

My task is customary, common among men. But the woman I mourn today was anything but common. She was brilliant, wise, and beautiful.

Now she's gone. . . Forever.

Sorrow will no longer consume her heart and soul.  Instead it has passed onto me.

I toss the black dirt into the dark and musty smelling grave and fall to me knees after hearing the impact against the wood below.

All I love is now six feet below me but it might as well be a million miles away.

The distance will never be broached this side of heaven but it can be avenged. I will make sure of one thing: The hell she endured will be shared by the one who inflicted it.

Returning to the hearse with a slow stride, I see a man raise the tinted window of his black limo as the vehicle pulls away disappearing into the rainy mist. I know who he is; the photo she asked to be buried with tells me everything I need to know.

He and I have a moral debt to settle because he took the joy and life away from the woman I’m leaving behind today in this cold and wet cemetery. She was my mother . . . My selfless life-giver and I owe her everything.

Finally for this week we have the awesome Beth Michele, who's debut novel Love, Love was just released May 8th!  Check out her release day post  and giveaway, in case you missed it!

Bio

Beth Michele is a wife, a mom, an author and a lover of all things chocolate, well anything sweet really.  While stuffing chocolate in her face, she enjoys reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with her husband and two adorable children who keep her on her peppermint pink painted toes.  Those same children who insprie her to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies.
Beth loves to laugh and loves to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretched her soul, the ones that make her feel, and linger in the corners of her beating heart.
Beth began writing when she was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later to write children's books.  Her debut novel, Love Love is due out May 8, 2013.
