First up today we have Charles Sheehan-Miles, who after reading his bio, I give major props to for his work with veterans. I have major respect for all service veterans, but especially combat wounded, as my dad lost a leg in Vietnam, while in the Marine Corps.

I’m a forty-ish writer of several novels includingRepublic, Insurgent, and Prayer at Rumayla. I’ve got a few short stories and two non-fiction books out there as well.
My
background: I spent some time traveling the Middle East on my own in
the late nineteen eighties, then went back courtesy of the United States
Army as a tank crewman during the 1991 Gulf War. After that I spent
most of the next two decades pursuing dual careers: nonprofit activist
and information technology professional. Eventually the two combined:
from 2003 until 2009 I was completely in the nonprofit sector, served as
executive director of two nonprofits and director of IT of a third.
Unfortunately,
when the 2008 economic crash hit, it took my career with it. For
several years I had to retool, and managed restaurants in the Atlanta
area. Recently I found my way back into my chosen career: I work in
veterans outreach and public affairs for a law firm which represents
disabled veterans. In my free time I write books, this blog, play with
the kids, and generally try to make it through life doing as much good
as possible.

I kept my writing secret from all of my "real" Facebook friends and even my family. I only revealed on my personal page that I wrote a book a month before Broken was released. I've now successfully self-published my first novel and it was on Amazon's Movers and Shakers List as well in the Top Twenty in Erotica on Amazon. It's a Contemporary Romance/Erotic Novel, definitely not for everyone. I am currently working on two more novels titled "Going the Distance" and "Saved."

About the books I like. I actually started reading a while ago. While I was pregnant with my first I had preclampsia and was on complete bed rest for a LONG time so I picked up Nicolas Sparks The Rescue and I was hooked. Then I got into the whole paranormal thing when Twilight came out. Now I read anything, I really like new adult books. I love watching a young couple find themselves and fall madly in love. I of course love the hot sexy erotic books as well. I hate hate hate reading a book that ends with a huge cliffhanger that I had no idea about and then have no clue when the next books should be out! I'm sure that makes everyone nuts.
I wish I could read more than I do. My husband is one of those that is constantly driving me nuts when I read. I get the "your reading again". "Why can't you put it down" blah blah blah...hes a pain in the butt, but I still love him.
I'm a HUGE New York Yankees fan. I have lived in upstate NY my whole life and one of my biggest and favorite memories is when my Dad and I would watch the games and he would quiz me on batting averages and players.
SO with that, there is a bit of info about me. I love hearing what people have to say about books and I LOVE when people give me recommendations.
