My Review

The Migrane Mafia was a nice change of pace from my usual YA/Paranormal reads.  Viive is a great character that makes you laugh, cry for her, and celebrate her triumphs in the end.  Pretty in Pink gives The Migrane Mafia 4 stars!

My Review

As I said yesterday in my review of the first book in the series Sworn to Raise, once I started this series I could not put it down.  The intricacies of the plot and the depth of the characters sucked me in.  Not only are they well written, awesome books, but they are not the same old vampire, werewolf, shapeshifter, faery story's that EVERYONE is writing now.  Pretty in Pink gives book 2 another 5 star review!

My Review

I loved this series from the moment I started reading!!   It is another one of those series that once I started reading I could not stop.  The twists, turns, and intrigue of the plot leave you breathless.  Nice change from the typical YA/Paranormal books already out there as well.  There is so much I want to say but can't, as this is a spoiler free site.  Pretty in Pink gives this book 5 stars!

About the Author

An avid reader since her childhood years and being an only child, Roberta always enjoyed the company of her fictional friends from the children’s books she loved reading, while she dreamed of writing her own stories one day. It was when she discovered novels by authors Rosamunde Pilcher and Maeve Binchy in her teenage years that she realized it was time she put down in words the stories she had kept well hidden in her mind until then. What started as a hobby, soon turned into a real passion and a way of life, until she could no longer keep the stories to herself, and decided to get over her fears and share them with the world. My Review

Roberta is a special author for me, as she is a very good friend of mine, and I have had the pleasure of accompanying her on her journey this last year with her books.  While I enjoyed reading The Melody in our Hearts, Roberta's love for Ireland and Christmas make this her best book yet!  Her love of both really show through in her writing in this story making it a sweet, magical, Christmas read.  Pretty in Pink gives 5 stars to A Christmas Melody.

“I don't know. Not much was left. There could have been a cellar or basement abandoned that didn't get struck. That's how I survived,” Rane admitted.

It at least gave me hope. As we drove north, the rain stopped and the clouds parted. Cresting a hill, I slammed the brakes as we jolted to an abrupt halt.

“What the hell?” Gavin's voice echoed as the seatbelt restrained him and his arm shot up on the dashboard to steady himself. A few feet away, I saw outlaws with weapons pointed in our direction. “Hurry up!” His voice threatened in my ear as I slammed on the gas, but our car wasn't going anywhere: the tires had blown from spikes in the road.

Locking the doors hadn't helped. They busted the car window and flipped the lock, opening the door, dragging all three of us out.

About the Author

Ruth Silver attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with a Bachelor's in Communication in the spring of 2005.  While in college, she spent much of her free time writing with friends she met online and penning her first novel, Deuces are Wild, which she self-published in 2004.  Her favorite class was Creative Writing senior year where she often handed in assignments longer than the professor required because she loved to write and always wanted to finish her stories.  Her love of writing led her on an adventure in 2007 to Melbourne, Australia.  Silver enjoys reading, photography, traveling and most of all writing.  She loves dystopian and fantasy young adult stories.  Her debut novel published by Lazy Day Publishing and Patchwork Press, ABERRANT, was released April 2013.  The second novel in the series, MOIRAI, continues the saga. My Review

I have loved reading all three of the books in this series.  The plot hooked me from the start of the first book and the third book did not disappoint!   Same with Isaura.  Anyone who likes dystopian/YA books will love this series!  Pretty in Pink gives 4 stars!  You can also check out my post on Aberrant.

About the Author

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.

Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.

When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.

My Review

 I have become a HUGE fan of Lacey and her books.  I have not read anything I have not liked by her as of yet.  This was a little hard for me to get into, I think because I JUST read the series from the other POV.  Pretty in Pink still gives Fire and Ice 4 stars, characters and storyline are wonderful as always!

I can't get over how many awesome YA/Paranormal series I have read recently.  This series is definitely one of them.  I really enjoy reading series of books, and this was another one that once I started, I just didn't want to stop reading, and couldn't wait for the next book.  Pretty in Pink gives this series 5 stars!

About The Author-

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.

Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.

When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.

Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline!

My Review

If you like to read YA/Paranormal fiction, go buy this whole series right now!!  I did not want to stop reading once I started, and I think I finished this series in a matter of a couple of days.  Lacey Weatherford has quickly became one of my favorite authors.  Her characters and story lines grab you and don't let go.  Pretty in Pink gives this whole series 5 stars!

My Review

I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this trilogy!   Once I started reading Fire and Ice I did not want to put it down.  Both the characters and the story line drew me in instantly.  Pretty in Pink gives 5 stars to Fire and Ice!

My Review

 While not my normal preference (paranormal) I really enjoyed this sweet, but heartbreaking story.  I was in tears by the end.  I definitely recommend to romance/YA lovers out there, as well as the sequel.  4 stars from PIP!
